Tell us about your experience at Along Came Eve: I had been to A LOT of bridal shops before visiting Along Came Eve. I loved the showroom and that we were left to look at the dresses and pick some favourites ourselves at first before being guided more by Kendal. Kendal was super friendly, helpful and really knowledgeable. The range of dresses both in terms of style and price points was really good and I didn’t feel rushed or pressured into making a decision. I visited quite a few times after both to make a final decision and also for fittings and each experience was as good. I also got my accessories from Along Came Eve. I also loved that the alterations were in-house and Moira was super helpful in helping me customise the train on my dress which I wanted a bit more detail on. Not to mention COVID, we were meant to get married in April 2020 originally. Along Came Eve kept the dress for me. Our second date in May 2021 also got cancelled and when we made the decision to have a micro wedding in July 2021, Moria made sure the dress was fitted on short notice.

Tell us about your wedding!: We were supposed to have a much bigger wedding in April 2020 but after two cancellations and difficulties finding a third date, we decided to have a micro wedding at Didsbury House Hotel with only our closest family attending. We still wanted to have it as a wedding as possible despite the small numbers. and Didsbury House Hotel was the perfect venue and the staff were amazing on the day too. One of my favourite things was the flowers - The Flower Lounge did a stunning job! Our favours were Napolitano which I made the night before, which is a traditional Mauritian pasta. We had live music from musician Daisy Kate which was a last-minute choice and she was amazing! Shout out also to our photographers, Seb and Zuzi of Stella Photography who are super fun and way too cool for us! We were also kindly gifted the crockery, glasses and cutlery by Whitehouse crockery after I won a competition.
