Tell us about your experience at Along Came Eve: Perfect! Kendal went above and beyond in the lead-up to my first appointment, arranging for some Eliza Jane Howell dresses to be sent from London. Unfortunately, another dress caught my eye and I ended up with a different designer despite being adamant I wanted an Eliza Jane! My one ended up being Khalani by Rosa Clara - a beautiful beaded feathery dream! Helena styled it perfectly with a Miranda Templeton back necklace, making it even more beautiful. As it was just post-lockdown my mum wasn't able to come up for the first appointment so we booked an accessories appointment a few months later so my mum could see my dress, we then ended up getting some beautiful hair pieces to match the back necklace. Moira was wonderful during the fitting process, she made me feel really at ease and my dress fitted like a dream on the day. I fell in love with it a little more each fitting!
Tell us about your wedding!: It was Hollywood vintage meets country bumpkin! We had a really relaxed weekend, getting married at a farm with an onsite animal sanctuary so lots of animals joined in, The guests loved getting to feed the alpacas. We were able to have our dogs, Edith and Ethel, as flower girls. We were lucky enough to be able to get married outside, overlooking the beautiful Peak District where we're often found on weekend hikes. Our friend's band played in the evening and my dance teacher choreographed our first dance which was lots of fun practicing together in the months leading up to the wedding. My dress was so comfortable, I didn't want to take it off despite dancing all night!
